I have recently bought an Asus laptop with Windows 8 Core , which I upgraded to 8. I always thought Windows 8. So I was wondering what other people have used instead. Ideally I want a free option.

It has "computer has not start correctly" kind of message and "your window is locked ". Is anyone experiencing any of this problem? Any fix? MSFT just causally told me reinstall window on this one week old laptop I have spent 5 hours setting up ;.
